Paint Protection Film
Paint Protection Film is a clear (or color) urethane film applied over a vehicle's painted surface. Made from a flexible urethane material, it stretches and curves around body panels — perfectly suitable for new or used vehicles needing defense from stone chips, bug splatter, and minor abrasions.
The top layer is an elastomeric polymer that lets the film maintain its shape after stretching and self-heal when light scratches occur — a heat gun or direct sunlight removes the marks. Stone Tec Paint Protection Film is approximately 8 mils thick, compared to a typical 0.5 mil factory clear coat — roughly 16× the protective thickness.
