Installation Guide

A step-by-step overview of professional Paint Protection Film and Automotive Window Film installation.

Installation Process

Professional Steps

Installation should be performed by certified professionals for best results and warranty compliance.

  1. 01
    Step 01

    Clean & Prep

Thoroughly decontaminate the paint — wash, clay, and iron-remove. Panels must be 100% free of dust and oils.

    • Use pH-neutral prep
    • Allow surfaces to dry completely
    • Inspect under bright light for defects
  2. 02
    Step 02

    Pattern & Cut

Use pre-cut patterns from a digital template, or hand-trim after installation. Allow overlap for edges.

    • Verify fitment before spraying
    • Keep cut line off painted edges when possible
  3. 03
    Step 03

    Slip & Tack Solution

Spray slip solution on the adhesive side and tack solution on the panel. This gives working time for positioning.

    • Slip: distilled water + small amount of dish soap
    • Tack: cleaner slip solution ratio for initial grip
  4. 04
    Step 04

    Apply & Squeegee

Position and squeegee out solution from center outward, using overlapping strokes to eliminate air and water pockets.

    • Use soft felt-edge squeegee
    • Use heat gun on complex curves
  5. 05
    Step 05

    Cure

Allow 48–72 hours minimum before washing. Full cure takes 3–7 days depending on temperature and humidity.

    • Avoid car washes during cure
    • Park indoors if possible
    • Do not polish during cure period
